History
Optiver was founded in 1986 by Johann Keamingk, who named the company Optiver, a name deriving from the Dutch word (Optima verheadelaur," or "Optiver trader." Since then, the company focused on positional trading and market making activities, and Optiver became a multinational propriety securities firm. It currently has offices in Amsterdam, Chicago, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Sydney, and Taiwan.
